Edit a page title

Every page on your portfolio website has its own page title, which plays an important role in both how your website looks and how it appears in search results. Understanding and setting your page titles correctly helps improve your visibility and gives your artist portfolio, photographer website, or designer portfolio a professional touch.

What is a page title?

The page title is the name you assign to each page when creating it. It appears:
  • At the top of the browser window when the page is open
  • In search engine results, as the clickable headline

Choosing your page titles carefully is essential for improving your search engine ranking (SEO) and helping visitors understand what each page is about.

For templates that include a header, your page title will automatically display within the page content. In these cases, your website title will serve as your portfolio logo at the top.
