What if I do not have a domain yet? +
You can register one directly in Portfoliobox when you upgrade. Or start with the free subdomain (yourname.portfoliobox.net) and add a custom domain later.
Do I get a professional email address? +
Yes, on the Professional plan. You get an email like hello@yourname.com with a 5GB inbox, 10 aliases, autoresponder, and up to 500 sends per day.
Can I change my domain name later? +
Yes. You can change your domain name during an active subscription.

Do I start with a template? +
You can. Portfoliobox has hundreds of templates to choose from. You can also start from scratch and build your own layout, or mix and match sections from different templates across your pages.
Am I locked into one template? +
No. You can use different templates on different pages, swap sections between layouts, and change your style whenever you want. Your site is never locked into a single design.
Is my site mobile-friendly? +
Yes. Every template and layout is fully responsive. Your portfolio automatically adapts to look good on phones, tablets, and desktops.
Can I customize fonts, colors, and layout? +
Yes. You can change fonts, colors, backgrounds, spacing, and more. All plans include the drag and drop builder for full layout control.
How many gallery layouts are there? +
Over 40 gallery layouts across five categories: thumbnail grids, vertical layouts, horizontal layouts, slideshows, and creative layouts like zigzag and parallax.
Can I password-protect pages? +
Yes, on the Professional plan. Useful for sharing work-in-progress with clients or creating private galleries.
What image formats and sizes are supported? +
PNG, JPG, and GIF. Max 24MB per image. Images larger than 1920px are automatically resized. For the best color accuracy, use the sRGB color profile.
Can I add videos to my portfolio? +
Yes. Embed videos from Vimeo or YouTube on any page. You can also use Vimeo videos as full-screen background covers. Direct video uploads are not supported.
Can I protect my images from being downloaded? +

Portfoliobox does not take a cut of your sales. You set the price, you keep the money. The only fees are from your payment provider (Stripe, PayPal, etc.).
