Portfoliobox is selecting 5 photographers from our creative community to exhibit at ImageNation Barcelona 2026, running May 29–31. If you’re selected, we cover your exhibition spot, professional curation, and promotion across our channels. All you bring is your photography.
What is ImageNation?
ImageNation highlights outstanding emerging voices in contemporary photography by curating exhibitions in Arles, Paris, London, New York, and now Barcelona. Under the direction of curator Martin Vegas, each edition brings together photographers from around the world in professionally curated group shows, open to the public.
Portfoliobox has partnered with ImageNation since 2018, sponsoring exhibition spots for photographers from our community and covering all costs associated with participation. We’ve sent photographers to Le Marais in Paris, to galleries in central London, and to shows in New York. Now, for the first time, we’re heading to Barcelona.
What you receive
If you’re one of the 5 selected photographers, Portfoliobox provides:
- Exhibition spot: Your work displayed in a professional gallery space in Barcelona, fully paid by Portfoliobox.
- Professional curation: Your images printed, framed, and exhibited alongside an international roster of photographers.
- Promotion: Dedicated features on the Portfoliobox blog, newsletter, and social media channels before, during, and after the show.
- Free Portfoliobox Professional website: A Professional plan upgrade or extension for every selected photographer.
Who can apply
The call is open to all active Portfoliobox users with a published portfolio website. This call is for photographers only; all genres and styles of photography are welcome, from documentary and street to portrait, landscape, fine art, and conceptual.
How to submit
1. Complete the submission form
2. Upload up to 5 of your strongest images
3. Add a brief statement (optional)
4. Submit by March 31, 2026
You’ll need to be signed in to a Google account to access the form. Our team carefully reviews all submissions.

A look back
In 2025, Portfoliobox selected photographers for ImageNation Paris, where their work was exhibited at Galerie Joseph in Le Marais during Paris Photo week. We followed that with editions in London and New York.

Terms & Conditions
- Submissions are open to photography only.
- Applicants must be active Portfoliobox users with a published website.
- A maximum of five (5) photos may be submitted per entry.
- One (1) submission per Portfoliobox user is permitted.
- Selected photographers agree to credit Portfoliobox in social media posts related to their selection and the exhibition by tagging @portfoliobox.
