What is an SSL certificate?
An SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate secures the connection between your browser and the website you’re visiting.
Websites using SSL begin with https:// in the URL and display a closed padlock icon next to the address bar. You can click on the padlock to view details about the certificate.
How to set up an SSL certificate?
All domains added to your Portfoliobox portfolio are automatically protected with free SSL certificates. SSL is automatically enabled when the domain is correctly configured; you don't need to do anything to set it up.
SSL certificates are automatically included for the following:
- Portfoliobox custom domains for Personal and Professional plans
- Portfoliobox domains for Free plan
- Third-party domains connected to Portfoliobox
The SSL certificate will be registered within 48 hours. If your portfolio is still not secure after 48 hours, please contact our support team.
