Use Portfoliobox’s built-in integration to connect Google Analytics to your portfolio website and track how visitors engage with your creative work. Whether you’re an artist, photographer, or designer, connecting Google Analytics helps you understand where your audience comes from and which pages perform best.
What is Google Analytics 4?
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is the latest version of Google’s website analytics tool. It replaces Universal Analytics and provides more advanced insights into visitor behaviour, helping you understand how people interact with your website across devices.
For creatives, GA4 is a powerful tool for understanding what captures attention, from your portfolio pages to your contact form, so you can make more informed decisions about your online presence.
On the leftmost part of your dashboard, click on Admin.
On the second panel, click Create Property.
Follow the steps.
Under, choose a platform, select Web.
Set up the data stream and click Create Stream.
Google will ask you to copy and paste a code on every page of your website. You don't need to paste the entire code, only the Measurement ID. Copy the ID, as shown in the screenshot below. It has the following format: G-XXXXXXXXXX.
